Education for Others

A Chingshin education is not a private good. It is a trust—capacities developed so they may be deployed in service of others. We take this literally.

All students in grades ten and eleven complete structured service learning across their high school career. But hours are not the point. Reflection is the point. Service without reflection is volunteerism. Service with reflection is education.

Students engage with educational outreach to under-resourced schools, community support for elderly and disabled populations, environmental conservation projects, charity concerts and fundraising initiatives, and hospital support programs.

We ask students not only What did you do? but What did you learn? What surprised you? What changed in you?

Service is not something Chingshin students do. It is something Chingshin students become.
